Secretary of State Kerry is going to Saudi Arabia this week, to talk about the war in Yemen. Before he goes, he needs to know there is significant Congressional concern about what Saudi Arabia is doing in Yemen with U.S. weapons. That’s why we’re trying to get as many signers as possible today on the Congressional letter to President Obama, urging him to delay the Saudi arms deal.
Your Rep voted on June 16 to ban the transfer of cluster bombs to Saudi Arabia. Call your Representative now at (202) 224-3121. When you reach a staffer or leave a message, you can say something like:
“I urge you to sign the Lieu-Yoho-Conyers-Mulvaney letter to hold the Saudi arms deal until Congress can give it full consideration. Congress has never authorized U.S. participation in Saudi Arabia’s Yemen war.”
When you’ve made your call, please report it below.
And if you haven’t yet signed our joint petition with Daily Kos and the Yemen Peace Project to hold up the arms sale, you can do that here.
